  • Date:2005-01-13

This afternoon (January 13), the Taipei Airline Association Chairman Michael Lo, in a letter response to the China Civil Aviation Association Vice-Chairman Pu Zhaozhou, indicates that our administrative agency has already appointed Michael Lo and Billy Chang to lead a negotiating delegation. It has also been decided that negotiations with the Mainland representatives begin on January 15 in Macao, to finish the details on the Lunar New Year chartered flight agreement.

Since the time is limited, Michael Lo has already responded to Pu Zhaozhou’s letter with the information of the negotiating delegation, the time and the place. He hopes that the Mainland can reply immediately with the details of its negotiating delegation and time, to begin negotiations as soon as possible.

The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) expresses, we have offered the biggest sincerity in order to carry out a smooth 2005 Lunar New Year chartered flight operation. Fully considering the difficulties and inconvenience of the Mainland, the negotiation representatives, the time and the place have been decided with respect to both sides. We hope that the Mainland can show some sincerity by keeping its word and immediately appoint representatives to begin practical negotiations with our representatives, and smoothly complete all the necessary chartered flight arrangements.
