　　The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) issued the following statement regarding the chairmanship of Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF). The MAC stated that the assignment of SEF chairman will only be finalized after the convention of the SEF board of directors and completion of other legal procedures in accordance with relevant provisions of the Foundations Act and SEF Charter. As for the relevant personnel reshuffles, the MAC will report to the Executive Yuan for approval, after which the SEF will promptly hold an interim board meeting to complete the nomination and selection process.
