The investment environment in mainland China has changed dramatically in recent years, posing tough challenges and difficulties for Taiwanese businesspeople. The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) urges Taiwanese businesspeople to pay closer attention to related laws and regulations and to be aware of investment risks in the Mainland. The MAC also urged businesspeople to make greater use of the MAC's Teacher Chang for Taiwanese Businessmen (TCTB) professional consultation service for information and advice on investment operations.
The business environment in mainland China has undergone tremendous changes in recent years. Rising production costs, increasingly stringent environmental protection and working conditions, the rise of red supply chains, implementation of anti-tax avoidance measures, and the evolving international economic and trade environment have presented numerous difficulties and challenges for Taiwanese business operations.
The MAC has promoted the TCTB program since April 24, 1996. Experts from the business and academic sectors are invited to form advisory groups providing Taiwanese businesspeople one-to-one professional consulting services by appointment on handling practical issues. The TCTB provides professional consulting services to mainland-based Taiwanese enterprises to help them to resolve practical problems faced in the Mainland in the areas of investment environment and on legal, accounting, tax, labor relations, land, business, and management matters, and thereby reduce investment risks and upgrade the competitiveness of their Mainland operations.
