Regarding media reports that former mainland Chinese people studying in Taiwan were suspected of involvement in developing communist spy organizations, the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) stated that this case is under judicial proceedings. The MAC respects the judiciary's handling of this case according to law.

The government allows Mainland students to study in Taiwan to promote mutual knowledge and understanding among cross-Strait youth and to support the peaceful and stable development of cross-Strait relations. Taiwan's policy on Mainland students studying in Taiwan remains unchanged. While studying in Taiwan, Mainland students should obey the law and learning should be their purpose. The government continues to steadily promote Mainland students studying in Taiwan and hopes that the two sides will jointly cherish and maintain the outcomes of exchanges over the past many years.
