Allowing RMB-NTD conversion business to be implemented in the Taiwan Area

(Submitted to the Executive Yuan on June 26, 2008; Implemented on June 30, 2008)

As of June 30, 2008, the people of Taiwan have been able to buy and sell up to 20,000 renminbi (RMB) at approved financial institutions in order to meet the currency exchange needs of Mainland tourists visiting Taiwan.

Benefits: This measure increases the convenience and reduces the cost of currency exchange for the people to meet the actual needs of cross-strait exchanges.
